Source policy

Every screenshot and every screen recording in the library can be traced back to where it came from. This page covers where the material comes from, how it gets into the library, and what we deliberately leave alone.

Public pages only

The automated capture pipeline only visits publicly reachable product pages, and it respects robots.txt and rate limits. Screens that require a sign-in are captured only from our own test accounts, and only when the page holds no one else's data. We do not capture third-party content behind a paywall, we do not bypass access controls, and we do not capture private user-generated content.

Human review before publishing

Before a screen appears publicly, a person checks that it is complete, carries no personal information, is not misleading, and is labeled correctly.

Provenance kept on every record

Each record shows its source URL, capture date, viewport and device, and capture method (automated or human recording), so visitors can verify its source and context.

Licensing

Copyright in the screenshots and recordings belongs to the rights holders of the original products. Uimory displays this material for curation, labeling, commentary, and research (reference only), and links every record back to the original product. Rights holders can file a takedown request at any time.
